Beacon Dementia and Wellbeing aims to provide a hub to support people living with dementia along with their carers as well as a base for anyone who is struggling with loneliness or isolation to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
A unique dementia-friendly Community Shed
Our dementia-friendly Community Shed, nestled in a peaceful location at the rear of The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery is the first of its kind in the UK, and offers a unique experience for our participants. So often, people living with dementia are told that they can’t do things anymore – but not so at the Beacon Shed!
